The Law of the Garbage Truck

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport. We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!

The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy, and I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!' This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration,
full of anger and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you.

Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day. Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets,

So ... Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

Have a Garbage-Free Day!

Billy Graham's Prayer for Our Nation

‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable... We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from sin and Set us free. Amen!’

'With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire, so that we once again can be called 'One nation under God!'

The Cross in Our Bodies

I remember so many times thinking… 'How can ANYONE deny that a Creator did all of this?'

How can we trust that God; who created all this, also has the power to hold our bodies all together when things seem to be falling apart. Actually, our human body is held together by laminins.

Here is how Wikipedia describes them:

"Laminins are a family of proteins that are an integral part of the structural scaffolding of basement membranes in almost every animal tissue. Laminins are what hold us together... LITERALLY. They are cell adhesion molecules. They are what holds one cell of our bodies to the next cell. Without them, we would literally fall apart. And I knew all this already. But what I didn't know is what they look like a cross."

This IS NOT a 'Christian portrayal' of it. If you look up "laminin" in any scientific/medical piece of literature, this is what you will see. The shape of a Cross!

Just as mentioned in Colossians 1:15-17 –

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

New International Version (NIV)

We are held together... One cell to another.... By a Cross!

By Trusting in God… impacts the WAY you “Live Your Life”

“Your Works or Actions” do not get you to Heaven. Yes, by just being a “Good Person” is not all that you need. Believing that Our Lord, Jesus Christ died on the Cross to deliver you from your own sins is the “Only Way”.

How “BIG” do you think God is? Is HE big enough to give all of your Worries and Hurt to?

God wants you to let go and give to HIM all of “Your Worries and Hurt”. So, you can receive PEACE and Happiness in your Life.

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men...

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in…

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the

doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give..

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS

ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Developing Self-Esteem in Children

Developing Self-Esteem in Children

Help Children develop “Self-Esteem” by providing steady Support and Encouragement, Believing in them, Loving them, Spending Time with them, Listening to them and Praising their accomplishments. Even if You are not a Parent, You can still be a Positive Influence as an Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, or Friend.

It’s amazing what a little “Encouragement” can do…

Plus, remember to say "I love you" to your children of all ages at least once a day!

Bless their Homes, Families, Finances, their Goings and their Comings..

In Your Precious Name,

Amen.

Be Thoughtful of the Needs of Others

One of the reasons there are so many breakdowns in relationships today is that we are a selfish people. This is the “me” generation.

2 Corinthians 6:6 contains three words that involve thoughtfulness and unselfishness:

• Understanding
We’re not going to understand if we don’t take the time to listen and think, unselfishly, about the feelings of others.

• Patience
If you’re self-centered, you will be impatient. You’ll retaliate, lash back and be defensive. But the unselfish person learns to be patient, because the goal is not self-defense but harmony in the relationship.

• Kindness
Kindness is the opposite of severity. It is a quality that thinks far more of others than itself.

Living My Life...

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, than to die and find out there isn't...

My Prayer for Our Veterans

My Prayer for Our Veterans

God, hold these Veterans close in Your Loving Arms. Guide each of them to never forget how Special they are. Each of them fought for this great Nation of ours and we - as fellow Americans - are dearly Thankful and Blessed by them.

Thank you, GOD, for Our Military. Active or Non, guide them to always know they are Cherished for having the Courage to Protect each of us, and for having a Great Heart of Love for us and Our Nation.

For by them - We are still Standing as One Nation - Under YOU, with Liberty, and Justice for all!

I Pray,
Amen
