What is Grace anyway?
When I was growing up, our family associated Grace with our Prayers at the Dinner Table. I use to think that giving Grace was associated with prayer. Boy, I was off… Grace does have to do with giving thanks to God; plus, so much more. God gives us Grace daily even when we do not deserve it. Everyday, all of us sin, some days worse than others. Reality is… we are by nature, sinful creatures. The only perfect person that has been on earth or will be on earth was our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for all our sins to administer “Grace” to all of us.
Aren’t you glad that God doesn’t agree with Karma? The saying… “What goes around comes around”. If this were to happen, wouldn’t we all be in a world of hurt? All of the bad decisions that we have made; and still make daily, are washed away by Christ’s blood from his Resurrection on the Cross. God Loves us so much…
Now, we are still going to have to face consequences to our choices. For instance, if you eat a lot of candy or fried food, you are still going to get a stomach ache. That’s not my point... but have you ever said something about a close friend of yours behind their back; and they found out about it, then they forgave you? That “Forgiveness”… is “Grace”.
This week, let’s try to “Stop Anger" and "Hurtful Comments” from escalating… and “Forgive One Another”; just like Our Loving Father does for us daily.
