Defining Your Relationship with God

My relationship with God has moments when I feel close, and moments when I’m just not that into Him. Does this happen with you sometimes? For me, I feel God’s Presence on Sunday Morning’s when I’m singing and rejoicing at church. Another time, I feel God’s Presence is when I’m singing Christian Songs on the radio; either in my car, or at home. Another time, is when I do something wrong.… I definitely feel His Presence then! I guess, at the time, I feel like I’m “Hiding From Him”. Reality is; you can’t Hide from God, can you? He’s always there by our side reminding us that we really shouldn’t be doing that or thinking that! Sometimes, I know deep down that it’s wrong, but I do it anyway like a fool. It’s so amazing that He’s always there listening to me... even after I have made Another Bad Decision! I know of two more times in my life when God seems so far away. This is when things are going well – and you feel like you don’t need Him – or when things in your life are going severely bad – and you become angry with Him. Sometimes, you just lose interest in being close with God. Every day seems like the same. There’s nothing new going on in your life. You go to church and go through all of the motions and you don’t feel anything anymore. This week, find out where you are in your relationship with Him, and where He is in your everyday life. Is there something in your life that you can’t get over that’s lacking you from spending time with God… or are you angry? Maybe you are you just bored with Him and you are just going through the motions. I encourage you to Read Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; for more information on this topic. God is so good to each of us!
