God's Forgiveness

We all know about the Easter story, right? Now, I know that a lot of people go to church and celebrate this holiday annually. This is good, but my point is that Easter should be celebrated every, single day of the year. Jesus Christ rose again! Hallelujiah! When did sin begin? You are right! In the very beginning, Adam and Eve both broke God’s Command creating sin in the Garden of Eden. Then… to forgive us all from our sin, God loved us all so much that He gave His One and Only Son to die on the cross. This was for us all to be able to be forgiven from all of our sins and live a life free from sin. Now, what is the difference between accepting your mistakes and bad choices, and from seeing how God can use these to show you more of Him? This is by using God’s Grace and His ability to fix broken things; trusting in Him more and giving Him more control in our lives. Making poor choices over and over again and asking God to fix them is not the point here. The point is that we are all sinners and by being human we do make decisions with our human behavior that is wrong. We are to confess our sins and ask God for forgiveness to take this sin away for us, but we are not to use this as an out and abuse it! This isn’t the purpose of Christ’s Sacrifice on the cross. We are to learn from our mistakes and set-backs and Move Forward. We are to learn from our mistakes and live a life with the reflection of Jesus Christ. Question: How can having the right perspective on sin change the way you live from day to day? Answer: Live your life to the fullest; making good choices, and living a life that honors God. If you do sin, ask for forgiveness, learn from it, let go of the pain and grief, and move forward.
