Jacob R. McConahay, 7, of Westfield, IN, passed away at his home Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Jake was born November 10, 2003 in Dunedin, Florida. He attended Westfield Washington Schools. Jake was an Honorary Firefighter on the Carmel Fire Department.
When first diagnosed and a patient at Riley, Jake received a Pillow Pet from his aunt Kathy. Realizing the comfort he received from it, Jake felt every patient at Riley deserved a Pillow Pet. What started out as a gesture with only a few, now Pillow Pets are provided at many hospitals across the nation.
What a Legacy....
