What does "The Kingdom of God" mean to you?

My first thought would be that of Heaven with Angels Everywhere, Harps Playing, Angels Singing Praises with Angelic Voices to our Heavenly Father! The truth is that we can create a “Kingdom of God” right here on earth! How, you may ask …? It's easy... By Honoring our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Daily Prayer, Helping and Serving Others, and Making Wise Choices. Living a Life that Reflects God. Talk about a Reality Check! We do know that this is what we should be doing all of the time, but… right? No worries, we all fall short of this daily. We are human. Yes, as humans, we seem to create a “Kingdom that best suites Me.” You may plan activities that involve “church friends”, and then other activities that do not reflect Christ at all. This could be going with friends to a movie that you shouldn’t be watching… or totally disobeying your rules at home with your parents like staying out past curfew, or even skipping a class at school or calling in frequently at your job. Read… Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men”. So, whatever we do should show a life favoring God. Another type of… “Kingdom of Me” is the “WANT MODE”. You totally consume yourself with stuff! You maybe want to get a new cell phone, and then a CD player, and then a new”…. The list can keep going. Especially, this time of year it gets worse with Christmas approaching. Maybe you want a new outfit, then you need a new pair of shoes, then some jewelry, and to top it off, you NEED a new purse too! It’s so easy to get in this mind set. We are such sinful creatures! We think that we need all of this Materialistic Stuff. It’s amazing how all of our WANTS and DESIRES can take over our entire life if we let it! When we are in this “WANT MODE”; as I call it, we try to find anyway possible to get it, don’t we? It feels like a NEED, but deep down we know it really isn’t. At this point, God is the last person we have on our mind. A Kingdom can also be relationships with friends. Just ask Yourself… Where’s God in this friendship? Do your friends know God, do they live reflecting Christ, or do they even know who God is? This is very important. We all need friends to keep us on track with God. This week, just look at your everyday life and ask yourself, "Does the Way I am Living reflect God’s Kingdom, or does it reflect Kingdoms based around Me”?
