Joy is an Attitude at Christmas Time & Always

Joy is an attitude that is not dependent on circumstances. We tend to think that joy depends on what happens. However, if that were true, as painful as life can be, it would be impossible to maintain a joyful spirit. The Apostle Paul wrote from prison in Philippians 2:1,2,5, If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus. So, how can a person have joy when … ? "our house is in foreclosure … our divorce is now final … our car was totaled … I’m grieving the death of a family member … my social security income is frozen for the second straight year … Christmas is almost here and times are so tight.”
